Don't Dilly Dally......????
Our intention today was to at least ride halfway to Winnipeg.....hmmn, famous last words. This morning we were hampered by fog and low cloud.....waterproofs on....waterproofs off....what to do. Anyway still with best intentions to 'ride on' we ended up distracted when 'the orange thing in the sky came out' and went to play on Canada's longest pedestrian suspension bridge. At 600ft long it's quite impressive. From there we tootled on along the 'Terry Fox Highway' to the Terry Fox monument, a sad but brave story about a Canadian athlete with one leg (lost to cancer) who died during a run across Canada raising money for cancer. Waterproofs on again, we can see a weather system looming. Tootled on a bit more and spotted a Harley sign...... time for an oil change if they can do it. Yes.....they can and did. Just as they brought our bikes out the weather system we'd spied earlier started to roll in...fast.......no worries we'd seen a 'Super 8' down the road in Thunder Bay...off we trotted, booked in and beat it..... just as the heavens opened, all thunder and forked lightning......ha.....didn't catch us this time...... because we 'dillied and dallied' our way through the day.......we didn't get far but we didn't get wet......yey.
