The Eclipse

We did a bit of chilling at Sheridan.....I forgot to add before that we'd also called in on 'General Custer's Last Stand' memorial........well I've seen enough westerns on it...Dad...lol......and we were going past so it was interesting to see where it all happened.

The weekend came and went with much pool time. Chris tried to put my belt guard back on but discovered we needed another tool to undo the shock absorber......have to wait until we get them serviced again then.

Monday 21st August........a significant date..... The 2017 Solar Eclipse. We got up early and rode almost 150 miles to view it.....avoiding the crowds by about 15 miles..... we set up at the side of a quiet stretch of road just outside Casper, Wyoming. We weren't disappointed.....the whole thing took a couple of hours but the totality time was only just over two minutes.....an amazing experience. Chris got some great shots.....some of you may have seen them. I videoed a bit and so I'll try to put together a little Eclipse clip at a later date and load to the You Tube channel.

And now......now we have moved on again and are sat in a Super 8 Motel in Chadron, Nebraska awaiting our two good friends Ruth and Al Lloyd looking forwards to some more touring together and Chris......well he's looking forwards to a pint with a couple of drinking buddies.........I'm sure Ruth and Al will oblige....lol......best get a shower then....byeee.
