San Diego B.O.M.A.S........

Or rather.....Banks, Oldham, Mills, Adventures.....lol. Gee where do I start....we didn't think we'd see Mel as quick as we did as she is at work....but oh boy we did. Mel called round at the Travel Lodge and helped us get about ....we'd got the bikes booked into San Diego Harley Davidson for a service. We went out downtown for drinks, deposited home after a good old laugh......collected our bikes in time for my birthday and visited Mel's new house.

For my Birthday along with another friend Rick we all went for a ride out to a great place called Borrego Springs and called into a bar 'The Iron Door'......there's always bars with Mel.....ha,ha.

What a brilliant day out........sculptures in the desert, beer (not for me), great scenery, good weather and your friends......excellent.....all topped off by a Birthday BBQ and cake.....you have to have a Birthday cake......well done peeps...thanks for a great day Mel, Chris and Rick....loved it.

Back down to the motel we went after a great day and got ready to move location....a cheaper motel....when Mel called.....her house share Dan had kindly said he was happy for us to stay there.......wow we couldn't believe it......fantastic news......we had already booked for another motel so we stayed there for one night instead of a week and moved up to the beautiful Blossom Valley. This was so great.....Mel and I got to spend time together and it also meant Chris could have a drink without having to worry about the bike.

And so the fun continued......three weeks of it......visits to wineries.....fast cars.....I was let loose in Mel's boss's car ......a Chevrolet Camero SS.......mental.....thanks Antonio, tours round San Diego, 4 x 4 fun with Vince. More visits to La Jolla to see the seals, trips to Carlsbad, one night we had to find out the password to a 'secret pub'.......an American 'Speak Easy'......that was so cool, meals out, English pub lunch and plenty of rest in between....we needed it.....we'd ridden approx. 30,000 miles before we landed at Mel and Dan's house share. Caught up on some videos for the website....they take ages to do and sorted out paperwork, thanks for all the photo copying Mel xx

All in all we've had an amazing three weeks and we cannot thank you enough Mel and to Dan, hope we weren't too much of a 'pain in the butt'....lol....we enjoyed your company, we've met some great people and made some new friends....fabulous xxx......Already missing you Mel,...'Me Rider'....ha,ha xx
